The Pink Floyd is an English progressive rock band that became one of the most commercially successful and musically influential groups in music history. The band is composed of David Gilmour (lead guitar), Syd Barrett (lead vocals, guitar), Roger Waters (bass and lead vocals), Rick Wright (keyboards, bass) and Nick Mason (drums). They signed a deal with EMI Records in 1967 to release their first album.
